    This book tells the history of the first one hundred years of the Socialist International Women. In the 19th century the participation of women in politics was illegal and unwanted. It was only in that the International Socialist Women's Movement was founded in Stuttgart, Germany. The Socialist International (SI) is a worldwide organisation of political parties which seek to establish democratic socialism. It consists mostly of democratic socialist, social-democratic and labour political parties and other organisations.
